Borderless announced the maiden edition of its developers’ event which is powered by Crypto Smart and Algorand.
According to Onyeka Ekwemozor, chairperson of the planning committee,
Borderless 1.0 is the maiden edition of the biggest tech event in South South, Nigeria powered by Crypto Smart in partnership with Algorand
From the perspective of the chairperson, Borderless 1.0 is not a regular crypto event but a tech event.
To fully comprehend the idea of event to be a tech event, Karla Obakpolor, founder of Crypto Smart reiterates,

While the event is highly reckoned with, there is a need to look back at how borderless started.
History of borderless
In November 2021, Crypto Smart announced upscaling to the Algorand blockchain. The upscaling sees a new dimension of Crypto Smart and the different blockchain products that they will be working on.
So as to effectively utilize the Algorand blockchain, Crypto Smart started a systematic teaching process to equip their developers with adequate knowledge of the Algorand blockchain.
Algorand uses Pyteal and Reach for its Dapps which is quite new to some blockchain developers.

The genesis of Borderless Dev Hub
Borderless Dev Hub started as an online programme but currently it has expanded to becoming a developers’ hub with its first physical hub in Port-Harcourt, a major tech city in South South, Nigeria while plans are ongoing to expand to other states in Nigeria and Africa at large.
